International Yoga Day

Yoga is a practice of Asana’s that provides physical and mentally fit and helps to decrease stress and anxiety. 21st June 2023 is celebrated as International Yoga Day worldwide to spread awareness about health and fitness. This year International Yoga Day 2023 theme is “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam”, which means earth is my home. Regular practice of Asana’s on morning to increase health and fitness. It also decreases blood pressure, improve heart health, increase muscle strength, etc.

Prime Minister took an initiative to propose the International Day of Yoga on September 27, 2014, during his speech to the UN General Assembly. According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, yoga is a gift of India that may improve people’s health and happiness worldwide. On December 11, 2014, 193 of the UN’s member countries decided to observe June 21 as the International Day of Yoga. The aim of Yoga is to join or to unite, it symbolizes the union of body and consciousness.
